Acetaminophen

Mechanism of action
Inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in the central nervous system and peripherally blocks pain impulse generation.
Acetaminophen produces antipyresis from inhibition of the hypothalamic heat regulating centre.
Dosage:
10-15 mg/kg every 4 to 6 hours P.O.

   Acetaminophen, 10-15mg/kg orally every4hr, is not associated with significant adverse effects; however, prolonged use may produce renal injury, and massive overdose may produce hepatic failure
