      Aminotransferases show an abrupt rise to a peak within 24-48 hrs of first detected abnormality

      Anti-HAV IgM

–       Diagnosis based on positivity–       Positive from onset of symptoms

–       May remain positive for approximately 4 months

      Anti-HAV IgG

–       Positive from onset of disease

–       Marker of previous infectio
